From the welcome reception and cocktail parties to seminars and sports tournaments, the weeklong Womenfest attracts an eclectic range of women to play in the Florida sun. Lest that seem too serious, comedians, films, and contests of the ilk of “Hot Buns” and “Wet T-shirt” entertainingly lower the tone. Those who prefer other kinds of watery adventures can head out to the reefs, with an all-woman crew, for snorkeling and diving, clamber aboard a catamaran or impress the hotties from the morning’s seminars by parasailing over Pearl’s women-only patio or at the clothing-optional pool parties.
