Saturday, September 19: It’s time to hike up those church robes and get down to some hysterical musical comedy. The Big Gay Musical, a new musical comedy from Casper Andreas (Between Love & Goodbye, A Four Letter Word, Slutty Summer), opens in New York City this weekend and it’s sure to offer up a welcome departure from your mainstream movie fare. The premise: Paul and Eddie have just begun previews for the new hit off-Broadway musical, Adam and Steve: Just The Way God Made ‘Em, which offers a fresh take on the intertwining of sexuality and faith. Struggling with their own issues on that front, a slew of musical numbers with a bunch of scantily clad tap-dancing angels (here's the trailer) helps each leading man to realize that he needs to stop trying to fit in and, instead, to just play the most important role: himself. -- Joseph Hassan
