American Idol's first openly gay contestant, Jim Verraros, announced on his Facebook page that he and his partner, Bill Brennan, are getting married this weekend.
The couple met when Brennan messaged Verraros on MySpace after he was voted off the first season of Idol. Verraros and Brennan have a wedding website, which features the story of how they met, a photo gallery, and their song, Elvis Presley's "Can't Help Falling in Love."
Though marriage is not yet legal in their home state of Illinois, Verraros writes on the website, "This wedding is a culmination of our lives so far, and our lives from this point onward. It is so imperative to the both of us that our friends and family see just how in love we are, and how happy we are to share it with everyone."
